Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US as well as Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She is the child of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual since the time she turned nine. The ability which helped her obtain her first role as an Univision Production Assistant in Miami. She worked with the producers of national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS station in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become a sports reporter. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become an anchor for the newscast of The Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She covered stories about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs in both Texas as well as Mexico. She would also fill in occasionally as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed other responsibilities. She covered events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason, as well as the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted on the regional Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was appointed as the anchor for sports by Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. The same job was held in Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collins was born in Veracruz, Mexico. Her birth date was November 22nd, 1985, in Mexico City. She's more mature than her younger sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico for the US and eventually settled in Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter in 1995. Her mother was remarried to one of the naval architects called Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. She stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime in which she was offered an opportunity to work. Still a senior in high school and yet knowing exactly what she would like to accomplish for her life, Antonietta was able to visit the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her requirements. The result was that she liked the campus, and the university offered the major she wanted. After completing her studies, she was accepted to the University as a major of media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the director at WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a part. He was the one who boosted her confidence and whose passion for journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she determined to meet his demands always delivering on time.
